It's Like Having Elves
It really is a little like having elves (although I am not sure if Nall and Tony will appreciate that). We go to work in the morning and come home at night and find more things done. It's fun to look around and try to figure out what they did today. Today it didn't take long to figure out. One step in the front door and there was the beginning of our new fireplace. There is still a lot left to go - glass tile, new doors, and a hearth - but today the mantel and outside border appeared.

It looks like you are thinking about the boxed detail at the mantle after all. Once painted out, I think this will be very nice. Are you still deciding, or is this the final choice? I can't make the meeting today and will have to wait until later this week for a personal look. Great work Nall!
