Today was busy

I pulled up to the house today and had a hard time finding a place to park.  Nall and Tony were here - plus the painter, plus the roofer, and the fireplace guy came later in the day.  Lots of activity.

The good news and the bad news is that the roofers were here.  Not for any remodeling activity - but to fix a leak we found in the roof after Sunday night's rain.  The good news is they put a few shingles and a whole lot of roof goop up there and said we'd be okay - for awhile.

We got a new closet door today.  Still needs trim and hardware and paint - but still we were happy to see it up.

And new caulk around the windows and doors - more prep for the rest of the painting.  Nicholi, the painter, also spent hours and hours trying to get the right stain match for the front door.  We are really pleased with what he came up with and can't wait to see the door stained.








And, last but not least,........a drum roll please.......our first appliance is in place!  The microwave has been installed in it's new home.  Nall says we can't it yet - for now I am just satisfied to go upstairs and stare at it from time to time.  Martha says the ladder below is so she can reach it.
