The skylight lenses were installed today and they are just spectacular. Now that they open up to the sky they feel so big - and the light is beautiful. It's hard to identify the best thing about the remodel - but the skylights are certainly contenders.
If you can tear your eyes away from the skylights, the next thing you notice is that the kitchen cabinets are partially installed. It appears that Nall and Tony are doing their typically exacting work. We spent so much time imagining and designing the kitchen cabinets and it's so rewarding to see them live and in person.
And then, as if skylights and cabinets were not enough, the Smelmonts came by for a visit and brought me a taco dinner. This was their first visit since the construction began and they were suprised how it actually looked in person. Jo said, "amazing"! Cole said, "awesome"! It was really fun to have all them here.
